Marginal increase in industrial turnover in November

Greek industrial turnover recorded a small increase in November, while the change was marginally positive at the twelve-month level.

According to ELSTAT data, the General Index of Industrial Turnover (domestic and external market) in November 2025 increased by 0.7% compared to the corresponding month of 2024, when a decrease of 5.2% was recorded compared to 2023.

On a monthly basis, the index declined 7.2% in November 2025 compared to October 2025.

At the twelve-month level (December 2024 - November 2025), the average General Turnover Index increased by 0.3% compared to the corresponding twelve-month period December 2023 - November 2024, compared to an increase of 0.9% recorded in the previous period.

Factors of change of the index (November 2025 - November 2024)

The increase of the General Index by 0.7% is due to both developments in the individual industrial sectors and changes in the markets.

By sector of activity:

  • A significant increase of 18.7% was recorded in the Mining - Quarries Business Cycle Index, mainly due to increased activity in mining of metallic ores and other mining and quarrying.
  • A marginal increase of 0.4% was recorded in the Manufacturing Business Cycle Index, with positive contributions from sectors such as motor vehicle and other transport equipment, transport equipment, electronic and optical products, and petroleum refining.

Per market:

  • The Domestic Market Turnover Index increased by 1.2%.
  • On the contrary, the External Market Turnover Index decreased by 0.2%.
